Tahoe Lobster Company

Jackson's business not only takes advantage of the tasty crayfish inhabiting Lake Tahoe, but it removes an invasive species that is a major factor in the degradation of water quality. Tahoe Lobster Company is featured in the January/February 2013 issue of Nevada Magazine.

Animal Ark

Episode #8 of the Nevada Magazine radio show features an educational talk with Aaron Hiibel, co-founder and executive director of Animal Ark in Reno, a haven for rescued and exotic animals.

Animal Ark is also home to “ambassador” cheetahs that help raise awareness and funding for cheetah conservation in Botswana, Kenya, and South Africa. The family-friendly attraction hosts high-speed cheetah runs along with a number of other events throughout the year.
