Episode #22 of the Nevada Magazine radio show features an interview with Claudia Vecchio, director of the recently created Nevada Department of Tourism & Cultural Affairs. Vecchio discusses what's new in Nevada tourism, specifically the new statewide brand, "A World Within. A State Apart." She worked in Texas and Ohio tourism prior to her current stint in the Silver State.
The Nevada Commission on Tourism will be holding its second "Discover Your Nevada" campaign soon. Vecchio also talks about the new Indian Territory exhibit located at the Reno-Tahoe International Airport.
In the show's second half-hour, Vicky Walter, president/CEO of the Mesquite Chamber of Commerce, talks about tourism in the southeastern Nevada city of Mesquite.
